Position Summary:
The Travel and Logistics Coordinator is a member of the Travel Logistics Division.
This person is responsible for implementing travel and logistics related activities, with a particular focus on the design and coordination of in person events (meetings, workshops, training and conference style event), online/hybrid events (Such as webinars, virtual meetings, online asynchronous courses); ensuring compliance with federal regulations and internal processes.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who has great attention to detail and can work both independently and as a part of the team.
Key Job Functions.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in project support, administrative and travel and event logistics management.
· Experience with Concur Travel & Expense
· High competency with technology and experience with Microsoft office suite
· Strong experience with Online communication hosting platforms such as Zoom, Webex, etc.
· Minimum of one-year work experience in an international organization.
· High School (minimum) Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
· Project management skills
· Strong customer service expertise and focus.
· Understanding of US federal travel regulations (Fly America/Open Skies)
· Authorized to work in the United States
Desired Skills:
· Experience creating and managing budgets
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across functions, organizations, and suppliers
· Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
· Foreign language proficiency – Spanish, Portuguese or French (A plus)
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Solid critical thinking, writing, and editing skills.
· Excellent and effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of individuals from varied backgrounds at all levels within the organization.
· Strong time management skills and ability to deliver services on time, on budget and in accordance with funder expectations.
· Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
