IBTCI has served governments, private sector companies and several donor agencies in the practice area of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) across many sectors including health, education, environment & economic development and crisis, conflict & governance.

PROPOSAL SUMMARY

IBTCI is seeking a Logistics/Administrative Assistant to lead an upcoming end-of-activity Performance Evaluation in Malawi funded by USAID. The objective is to carry out up to a minimum of two end-of-activity performance evaluations out of the following three: SSDI-I Services, SSD-I Communications, and SSD-I Systems. The three SSD-I activities support the MOH in the delivery of integrated EHP services, Social Behavior Change Communication and Systems Strengthening to varying degrees at national, zonal, district and community levels. However, SSD-I directly implements activities in 15 of Malawi’s 28 districts, including Lilongwe, Balaka and Machinga which are the focus districts of USAID/Malawi’s CDCS. There are three broad themes that need to be explored for this evaluation: Effectiveness, access, and quality.

Specifically, SSDI-Systems is a five-year USAID-funded project running from September 2011 to September 2016, whose mission is to assist the Ministry of Health (MoH) to improve policies, management and leadership, and fiscal responsibility to advance Malawi’s health system and the sustainable impact of the Essential Health Package (EPH). The main objectives of the end-of-activity performance evaluation are to assess SSDI-Systems methodologies and approaches to capacity strengthening, and institutionalization of key MoH functions, including supportive supervision; management structures, responding to stakeholder expressed needs, and mentorship) in relation to the activity’s achievements.

RESPONSIBILITES

She or he will assist the Team Leader in the organization of meetings, arranging field visits, organizing local travel, arranging local accommodation, and scheduling of appointments with stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • A diploma in a relevant field.

Desired Experience:

  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written, skills;
  • Experience in organizing events.
