Job Description
Banyan Global is recruiting a Performance and Capacity Strengthening Lead the for the anticipated USAID/Peru Program Cycle and Monitoring, Evaluation, Collaboration and Learning Support activity.
The Performance and Capacity Strengthening Lead will will oversee the planning, design, and implementation of training, coaching, and mentoring services for USAID staff, IPs, and government and other stakeholders.. The position is full-time, based in Lima, Peru, and is contingent on funding. Citizens of Peru are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and execution of MEL and CLA-related training, coaching, and mentoring programs tailored to the needs of USAID staff, implementing partners (IPs), and other stakeholders.
- Identify the most effective approaches for MEL and CLA capacity strengthening and mobilize the necessary partners or consultants to deliver high-quality training and mentoring services.
- Lead and facilitate specialized training sessions, workshops, and learning events for various stakeholders to enhance their MEL and CLA skills and knowledge in line with USAID’s objectives.
- Ensure that all capacity strengthening products and services adhere to USAID’s local capacity strengthening principles, promoting sustainable development and local ownership.
- Work collaboratively with other project teams to integrate capacity strengthening into all aspects of the program’s activities.
- Supervise long-term project staff and consultants.
- Other relevant tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in international development, adult education, organizational development, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing effective training, coaching, and mentoring programs, particularly in the context of MEL and CLA.
- Deep understanding of USAID’s local capacity strengthening principles and how they are applied within program design and implementation.
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring individuals and teams in capacity building initiatives.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required, Portuguese and Dutch a plus.
- Prior experience working with USAID is highly preferred.
