Office Reporting: Hybrid 50/50. Home office staff are required to physically report to the office 50% of each pay period. The remaining 50% can be telework.
Travel: Ability to travel at up to 10% of the time, occasionally up to 2.5 weeks including travel time, to low-resource and insecure environments.
Vaccines: Ability to be vaccinated as required by local authorities, i.e., Yellow Fever Vaccination, COVID-19. IBI requires all US employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

With a growing USAID project portfolio, IBI is searching for an experienced Project Accountant. They will assist with the sound, compliant, ethical, and transparent financial management of the company’s project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Develop and maintain budget monitors and invoice trackers
· Review all monthly field financial reports and reconcile field bank accounts and petty cash accounts
· Reconcile the field accounting books to the corporate G/L.
· Perform internal desk audits of field office financial reconciliations.
· Liaise with project field accountants to offer guidance and support.
· Prepare project invoices, including NICRA adjustments.
· Prepare and Post journal entries
· Organize and maintain comprehensive financial files and ensure that all financial record retention is compliant with legal and donor agency requirements.
· Process personnel expense reports.
· Assist with preparation of annual Incurred Cost Submission
· Prepare schedules for annual audit
· Assist with the preparation and review of cost proposals.
· Assist with monthly financial statements preparation
· Assist with resolving billed and unbilled AR issues

· Must have the ability to work in the office at the home office in Arlington, VA at least 50% of each pay period. See conditions of employment above.
· Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or MA in Accounting preferred
· Must have at least 3 recent years of project accountant experience in the financial management of USAID, US Department of State, or other US government sponsored contracts.
· Must understand the concepts and differences of various government contract mechanisms such as CPFF, T&M, FFP etc.
· Must have knowledge of GAAP principles and USAID policies, guidance, processes
· Must have intermediate Excel spreadsheet skills.
· Flexibility to accommodate projects/clients in various time zones (able to work late at night or early in the morning if necessary).
· Able to work independently, while also able to collaborate with team members.
· Flexibility to adjust to changes in demands, new situations, or approaches.
· Fluency in English; fluency in a second language is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:· MBA or MA in Accounting
· Experience using QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting product. Experience writing, editing, and formatting documents using Microsoft Office 365 products/SharePoint,
