At an exciting time of growth and opportunity for the organization, we seek a Vice President of Strategy & Innovation.
About the role
Reporting to the President & CEO, the VP, Strategy & innovation will imagine what could be and design tomorrow - thinking several moves ahead and sharpening our cutting edge. You will align the organization around strategies and tactics for growth, and seek to maximize terrain advantage with every play.
You will coordinate organization-wide strategic planning that is based on scanning the global environment for opportunities for enhanced impact and develop and drive an ambitious yet achievable strategy for growth. You will drive MI’s ‘smart growth strategy’ which prioritizes: donor stewardship to solidify MI’s existing revenue base; resource mobilization to support growth and diversification, and the exploration of new or emerging opportunities. You will bring an innovative mind-set and fresh perspective to the design and development of new and existing business models and programming, ensuring alignment of finance, programming, research and other disciplines so as to mobilize resources to achieve breakthrough results.

You are a proven leader who is highly skilled in developing and operationalizing strategic plans and achieving buy-in from key stakeholders. You have extensive experience with the design and implementation of programmatic interventions and large complex projects. You are an innovative thinker who is not constrained by the thoughts and approaches of others. You have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working in senior leadership roles in international development organizations and a post-graduate degree in Nutrition, Public Health, International Development or an equivalent discipline.
