South Wales Victim Focus is the main support service for victims of crime across South Wales. The service is funded by the South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner and is delivered by the national charity Victim Support.
About the role:
This role covers Swansea, with the main office base being Swansea Central Police Station.
As a Victim Focus Officer you will be:
- Delivering needs-led support to victims of crime
- Providing peer support to volunteers who are engaged in supporting service users.
- Working with a range of external partners, including the police, statutory agencies and other third sector organisations, developing strong links in the community to meet the needs of service users.
You will need:
- Experience of delivering a service and working directly with clients or service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting(s)
- Experience of working with vulnerable service users with diverse and challenging needs in different situations and settings(s)
- Experience of building and maintaining relationships with external partners and key stakeholders
- To be client-focused
- A driving license and transport available for use
