8 organizations team up for nutrition

By Jenny Lei Ravelo // 23 March 2012

A consortium of eight organizations will be working alongside U.K.’s Department for International Development to scale up proven effective nutrition programs.

Composed of PATH, Aga Khan University, Agribusiness Systems International, Health Partners International, ICF International, Institute of Development Studies, International Food Policy Research Institute and Save the Children UK, the consortium will help provide technical expertise for the Maximizing the Quality of Scaling Up Nutrition project. A core team will work closely with DfID in the United Kingdom and at country level.

The group will work to expand research on causes of undernutrition and introduce more innovations in nutrition programs. It will also provide expertise on nutritional programming and will share lessons learned with DfID, and other agencies and organizations.
