ABD to Revive Afghan Agriculture

A USD30 million grant from the Asian Development Bank will be made available to Afghanistan to help rehabilitate the country’s war- and drought-hit agricultural sector. The grant will be used to establish standards in the livestock and horticulture industries and build infrastructure including five slaughterhouses and a number of small-scale packing, sorting, grading, drying, and cold storage facilities.
