The Asian Development Bank endorsed a gas pipeline that would traverse Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan. In a technical report, the bank declared the feasibility of the project’s preliminary route and design parameters. The 1,040 mile pipeline from the Dauletabad field in Turkmenistan, once completed, is expected to supply about 700 billion cubic feet of natural gas to Pakistan and Afghanistan, and possibly India.
