ADB Funds Vietnam’s Health Human Resource Scheme

The Asian Development Bank has approved a loan worth USD60 million to finance the Health Human Resources Sector Development Program in Vietnam.

The initiative is co-financed by the government of Australia through a grant amounting to USD11 million. The project seeks to enhance Vietnam’s health services, especially in poor, far-flung areas with no access to professional health services and quality facilities.

The project will run through 2015.
