    The Asian Development Bank is providing $300 million to help finance road improvements in Madhya Pradesh, one of the poorest states in India.

    The loan will support the Madhya Pradesh State Roads Project III, which aims to upgrade more than 1,000 kilometers of highway in the poor western and eastern regions of the state. ADB is also providing a $1 million technical assistance grant to support public-private partnerships and road safety initiatives.
