The Asian Development Bank has identified India’s energy and transport sectors as the agency’s priority areas for the South Asian state in the next three years. In the multilateral lender’s report, ‘India: Country Operations Business Plan 2008-10,’ the ADB cites India’s Bihar and Jharkhand state roads investment programs, North Eastern Roads Investment program, Rural Roads Sector III Investment program, and Jammu, and Kashmir State Roads Investment program as the projects that would receive the majority of the earmarked sum.
