The African Development Bank and Denmark have agreed to establish a fund that aims to help build technical capacity and promote investment in sustainable energy in Africa over a period of five years.

The Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa will have a budget of 300 million Danish kroner ($57 million). It is intended to become a multidonor fund.

Aid from SEFA is completely untied, according to an AfDB press release.
