The African Development Bank approved a $2.5 million grant to fund the Multi-national Long-term Strategic Framework Study of the New Partnership for Africa's Development. The grant covers 60 percent of the project cost totaling $3.9 million. According to AfDB spokesman Eric Chinje, "the study will establish a common vision among all stakeholders on NEPAD's infrastructure program for the medium and long-term (2015-2020)" as well as "propose measures to accelerate implementation of projects." It will run in two phases: the first stage will last for six months and the latter part will span eight months.
