Protesters in Albania clashed with police last week, leaving three people dead. Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha described the demonstration as an opposition attempt to stir a Tunisia-style uprising, USA Today reports. The prosecutor general’s office said arrest warrants had been issued for six officers of the National Guard for the deaths in the demonstration.

The European Union has appealed for calm in the country.
