Argentina's Grape Producers Gain IDB Aid

The Inter-American Development Bank will make some USD50 million available to Argentina to help link small-scale grape growers with wine industry value chains. The credit will back “business plans designed to foster cooperation between small wine and grape producers and mainstream agribusinesses,” an IDB release stated. The Argentine Agriculture Department and COVIAR will implement the program. (“IDB supports small-scale grape growers in Argentina” - Inter-American Development Bank, Dec. 11, 2008)
