    AusAID announced that Pakistan, Zimbabwe and North Korea would specifically benefit from the additional food aid worth USD28.8 million that it donated to the World Food Program. It earlier said that the money will supplement its contribution to the agency for 2007-2008. The government is now preparing a comprehensive long-term strategy to boost food security, which will emphasize the country’s expertise in semi-arid agriculture research, production and adaptation.
