Australia has announced it will provide 3 million Australian dollars (USD2.9 million) to support Myanmar’s rehabilitation following the devastation caused by Cyclone Giri.

The funding will help affected communities and families recover from the disaster and provide them with essential food, shelter, clean water and sanitation. It will be managed by the Australian Red Cross, World Food Program, CARE Australia, Save the Children Fund, Oxfam Australia and Burnet Institute.
