Austria will grant 37 billion Ugandan shillings (USD16 million) for water and sanitation programs in Uganda. The grant will cover a three-year period, according to Walter Ehmeir, an official from the Austrian embassy.
Uganda’s water minister, Maria Mutagamba, said the government will provide sufficient funding to help districts achieve the national target of 77 percent of sate water coverage, The New Vision reports.
