Dr. Bocar Mamadou Daff is the director of the reproductive health and child survival unit for the Senegalese Ministry of Health and Social Action. Daff is a fierce supporter of research and evidence-based decision-making. He received his doctorate in medicine in 1989, and has diplomas in public health, health economics and international development. In 2013, he received the Excel Award for leadership on Family Planning by the Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health.
