Andy Haines

Andy Haines was the director of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine until October 2010. He currently works at LSHTM as professor of public health and primary care with a joint appointment in the Department of Social and Environmental Health Research and in the Department of Population Health. His research interests are in epidemiology and health services, with a focus on primary care and the study of environmental influences on health. He sits on many national and international committees including, until recently, the WHO Advisory Committee on Health Research. He is also currently chair of the THET Board of Trustees.
