He formerly worked as an economist at the Minister of Finance's Office in Egypt where he advised the minister on fiscal reforms and worked on the formulation of Egypt’s Five Year Macroeconomic Framework and Strategy. He holds a master of public policy from the University of Oxford and is a scholar at the University of Cambridge.
