Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen

Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen joined Novo Nordisk in 1991 as an economist in health care, economy and planning and has, over the years, completed overseas postings in the Netherlands, the U.S., and Japan. In 2004, he was appointed senior vice president for IT and corporate development before being appointed executive vice president and chief information officer in 2013. In 2014 however, he took over the responsibilities for corporate people and organization and business assurance and became chief of staff. Jørgensen was appointed president and chief executive officer in January 2017.
