
Dr. Jose Maya
Dr. Jose Maya is a plastic surgeon from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and president of Centro SUMA, a comprehensive care center for patients born with cleft. He specialized in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Mexico’s General Hospital; worked at the children’s hospital of Tacubaya, treating burned patients and children born with cleft, and at the cleft clinic of the ABC Medical Center. He was a professor at UNAM’s Medical School as well as at the Nursing School at The American British Cowdray Hospital. He has been a Smile Train partner since 2012.
