Violaine Mitchell oversees a team that works to empower national governments to sustainably finance and manage primary health care systems. Before joining the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 2010, Mitchell worked at GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance as the coordinator of a financing task force and was responsible for coordinating the early work on national financial sustainability planning and global innovative financing.
