The Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle is metropolitan archbishop of Cape Coast in Ghana and vice president of the Ghana Catholic Bishops' Conference. He is also Episcopal promoter of the conference’s Laudato Sí Action Programme, which seeks to respond to local and global crises from the lens of a call to action by Pope Francis. He was previously bishop of the Koforidua Diocese and Accra Archdiocese. He was ordained a priest in 1976 and has been a bishop for 29 years.
