Jane Madgwick is an ecologist and author with 30 years of experience of working internationally on the science, policy and practice of wetlands and water management. Since 2004, she has been CEO of Wetlands International, leading a network of 20 offices operating in over 100 countries.
Today, negotiations kick off in Nairobi, Kenya, as part of the Convention on Biological Diversity’s COP 15, during which the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework will be updated. Yet wetlands are absent.
