
Dr. Anand Date
Dr. Anand Date is the global TB branch chief for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Date has 15 years of experience with CDC’s global TB and TB/HIV portfolio. He has contributed to recommendations, strategies, and implementation guidance for TB and TB/HIV. Dr. Date is a member of several expert panels for the World Health Organization's tuberculosis guidelines and policies. He co-led operational research studies to improve clinical outcomes of people with TB disease, including people living with HIV, children, and health care workers. Dr. Date is a physician by training and completed his medical and preventive medicine residency at Mumbai University in India.
