Kevin Lass is a senior consultant at Rabin Martin and a member of the Private Sector Roundtable on Global Health Security secretariat team. Previously, he served as the director of pandemic response for the minister of health in Ontario, where he played a central role in overseeing the province’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout and testing strategy.
While domestic manufacturing will help countries in Africa prepare for future health crises, this needs to be complemented with a whole enabling ecosystem.
