Dr. Petra Khoury is the director of health and care at IFRC. She leads the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ work on health security, health protection, and WASH. Prior to IFRC, she was the senior health adviser to the prime minister of Lebanon and led the national COVID-19 response plan and chaired the national COVID-19 Vaccination Executive Committee. Petra holds a doctorate in pharmacy. She completed her residency at Massachusetts General Hospital.
