Mohamed Motala

Mohamed Motala is the executive director of NACOSA — the Networking HIV and AIDS Community of Southern Africa — an NGO that provides health services, builds the capacity of communities, and engages in advocacy to strengthen community health systems. Mohamed’s early work was around organizing and supporting poorer Black workers and shack dwellers in South Africa during apartheid. He then moved on to research, public policy, and management roles in the nonprofit and public sector.
