Joao is a Brazilian-Italian activist and social entrepreneur that has been working on youth-led initiatives around the world for the last 13 years. Apart from his youth activism, Joao has worked professionally on the youth-issues in the field for the last eight years. Most recently, he has been working very closely with the UN system in specific youth empowerment projects and consulted for different agencies, including: UNFPA, UN-HABITAT, UNICEF, UNEP, UNFCCC and UNDESA. He is currently acting as the Strategic Advisor for UN-Habitat Youth Unit, in Nairobi.
