Akio Hosono

Akio Hosono

Akio Hosono is the director of the JICA Research Institute, as well as a professor at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Tokyo. He served as the ambassador of Japan to El Salvador from 2002 to 2007. Hosono received his doctorate in economics from the University of Tokyo in 1984, and he has written extensively about South-South cooperation and economic development in Latin America.
