David McLaughlin is acting senior vice president for sustainable food at World Wildlife Fund. Building on more than 30 years’ experience in the food industry, McLaughlin leads WWF’s multifaceted strategies to engage directly with the business community, multistakeholder certification systems and consumers to reduce the natural resources that farmers and the food industry need to nourish a growing planet.

David McNair is executive director for global policy at The ONE Campaign, a movement of 9 million people fighting for an end to extreme poverty. Previously, David was policy director for transparency and accountability at ONE where he helped build a new global partnership for improving data for sustainable development, and led on agenda setting reports on anti-corruption.

David Milestone is the former acting director of USAID’s Center for Innovation and Impact. Prior to joining USAID in 2012, Milestone held various roles at Stryker, where he led innovation, introduction, and strategy initiatives in India. He has also worked as a management consultant with AT Kearney and as a design engineer at Boeing.

David Muwonge is the deputy executive director of the National Union of Coffee Agribusinesses and Farm Enterprises in Uganda, which undertook a digital profiling initiative with support from the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation. David is also a smallholder farmer himself.

Dr. David Nabarro is a special adviser to the United Nations secretary-general on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Climate Change and a candidate in the race for WHO director-general. In the past 12 years, successive secretaries-general of the United Nations have entrusted David to lead collective action on some of the most pressing and complex challenges — responding to avian and pandemic influenza, promoting food security, ending malnutrition, combating Ebola, promoting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and advancing efforts relating to climate change.

David Nicholson is the chief climate officer at Mercy Corps, where he oversees all aspects of the organization’s commitment to climate change as a centerpiece of their new 10-year strategy. He spearheaded Mercy Corps’ global sustainability initiative, which saw it become the first international NGO to publish a comprehensive carbon footprint baseline and reduction targets.

David Njagi is a Kenya-based Devex Contributing Reporter with over 12 years’ experience in the field of journalism. He graduated from the Technical University of Kenya with a diploma in journalism and public relations. He has reported for local and international media outlets, such as the BBC Future Planet, Reuters AlertNet, allAfrica.com, Inter Press Service, Science and Development Network, Mongabay Reporting Network, and Women’s Media Center.

David Passarelli is the director of UNU Center for Policy Research. He leads research on multilateralism and economic cooperation and directs the center’s Global Governance Innovation Platform. In 2022-2023, he co-led the secretariat of the U.N. Secretary-General’s High-Level Advisory Board on Effective Multilateralism. He holds a Ph.D. in International Development from the University of Oxford.
