Albina du Boisrouvray is the founder and president emerita of FXB, an international development organization with a 26-year history of breaking the cycle of extreme poverty and uplifting children worldwide. She donated a personal fortune and has dedicated decades to this work, approaching it with the conviction that the best solution for helping children is to strengthen the social and economic capacities of their families and communities. Albina was a successful film producer in the past and has received numerous awards for her work as a philanthropist, visionary activist and social entrepreneur.

Alec Crawford is a senior researcher with both IISD's Resilience and Economic Law and Policy programs. Since joining IISD in 2004, his work has focused on mining governance, climate change adaptation, and the links among environmental change, natural resources, conflict and peacebuilding.

She has a bachelor’s degree in International Studies - major in European Studies from De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines.

Alejandro Castillejo Cuéllar

Alejandro Castillejo Cuéllar is a commissioner at the Colombian Truth Commission. He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Anthropology at the Universidad de los Andes and director of the program for Critical Studies of Political Transitions. Castillejo holds a degree in anthropology from the National University of Colombia, a master’s degree in peace and conflict studies from the European University Center for Peace Studies, and a doctorate in anthropology from The New School for Social Research. His work and research focus on memory, violence, and the dynamics of small-scale peace, which he has studied in countries around the world.

Aleksandar D. Jovovic is a senior associate at Avascent, a Washington DC-based management consulting firm focused on the intersection of the business and public sectors. Since joining in 2007, Alek has advised organizations on public sector opportunities and market entry strategies. Previously, he has held positions with Vantage Partners, CENTRA Tech and the Brookings Institution, among others.

Aleksander Dardeli is vice president of IREX, an organization that works globally to strengthen the quality of governance and education. He has directed major good governance reform initiatives in developing and transition countries. Between 2006 and 2008, he led a high-profile project in the Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo that provided policy advice to the prime minister, developed capacity in key institutions, and increased citizen participation in the lawmaking process.
