He has built his career providing data management support to organizations and clinical researchers that are struggling to capture and share data. Diego is passionate about the startup revolution and is an active contributor to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Chile, the Netherlands, and Bhutan.

Dilek Barlas

Dilek Barlas has been the World Bank Inspection Panel’s executive secretary since July 2014, after serving as deputy executive secretary for seven years. Ms. Barlas has extensive experience in the field of development. A lawyer by training, she joined the World Bank in 1992 and was senior counsel in the bank’s legal vice presidency for Europe and Central Asia. As executive secretary, Ms. Barlas provides strategic support and advice to the panel chairperson and panel members, manages the panel’s secretariat, and maintains relations with internal and external stakeholders.

As vice president of technical leadership, Dina Esposito leads Mercy Corps’ team of global technical experts who spearhead strategy and support programming in over 40 countries. Previously she served six years as the director of USAID’s Office of Food for Peace, where she oversaw the agency’s $2.8 billion relief and development food assistance program.

Dinnah Nabwire is a 2015-2016 Global Health Corps Fellow serving as research and policy coordinator at Marie Stopes International. She has previously worked with development organizations in Uganda on gender and women rights, peace building, and economic empowerment programs for the most marginalized communities.

Professor Dirk Blom is president-elect of the International Atherosclerosis Society, a global network of leading atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease experts across over 70 countries. Blom is also the head of the division of lipidology at the University of Cape Town and heads the Lipid Clinic at Groote Schuur Hospital.

Divina Chingcuanco is a senior energy and climate change expert at RTI International with over 35 years of experience leading and managing projects focused on sustainable development, climate change, clean energy, and economic resilience across Asia. Most recently, she served as a member of the United Nations High Level Technical Working Group on Energy Access to prepare for the U.N. High Level Dialogue in September 2021.
