Dr. Marc Sprenger is director of the World Health Organization secretariat for antimicrobial resistance. Marc and this secretariat focus on coordination of an organization-wide approach to antimicrobial resistance, working with WHO programs carrying out technical activities required for the implementation of the global action plan on antimicrobial resistance.

Dr. Michel Sidibé

Dr. Michel Sidibé was appointed as the African Union’s special envoy for the African Medicines Agency in April 2021. Dr. Sidibé has been advocating for a people-centered approach to health and development for over 40 years. Previously, he held several high-level positions, such as the Republic of Mali’s minister of health and social affairs from 2019 to 2020 and executive director at UNAIDS from 2009 to 2019.

Dr. Mohamad Katoub

Dr. Mohamad Katoub

Dr. Mohamad Katoub is a project manager at IMPACT for civil society research and development. His work focuses on humanitarian policy and protection of aid workers in Syria. He is a research fellow at the Syrian impact study at the center of global health at the University of California, Berkeley and a fellow at the Human Rights Center at the University of California, Berkeley school of law. He is a licensed dentist and was a former humanitarian worker in Syria.
Dr. Mohamed Lamine Yansané

Dr. Mohamed Lamine Yansané

Dr. Mohamed Lamine Yansané served as the secretary general of the Guinea Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene from 2021 to 2024. With extensive experience in health system strengthening and project management, he has contributed significantly to Guinea’s health sector, including roles as prefectural health director, chief of staff at the ministry of health, and senior advisor to the ministry of health.

Dr. Mohammed Yassin is a public health physician and infectious diseases epidemiologist with over 25 years of experience. As a senior tuberculosis adviser at the Global Fund since 2010, he provides technical leadership on TB to ensure resources are prioritized for key interventions and vulnerable populations to maximize impact. Dr. Yassin promotes innovation, and partnership and accelerating implementation and monitoring, including via private sector engagement in TB.
