Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana

Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana

Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana is Rwanda's minister of health since November 2022. He previously served as director general of the University Teaching Hospital of Butare and the Rwanda Biomedical Centre. He holds extensive experience in infectious disease and noncommunicable diseases programs design, strategic planning and implementation science. Sabin holds a medical degree and a master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Rwanda, and a doctorate in Epidemiology from the University of Basel, Switzerland.

Dr. Samukeliso Dube

Dr. Samukeliso Dube is the executive director of FP2030. Dr. Dube has more than 20 years of experience in health care, including several senior roles in the delivery and financing of health care. She previously worked at Afrocentric Health as a general manager, leading health policy and medical advisory, and has worked at Royal Philips as medical counsel for Africa and business development manager for southern Africa.

Dr. Sanjana Bhardwaj

Dr. Sanjana Bhardwaj

Dr. Sanjana Bhardwaj is a physician and a public health expert with over 30 years of experience in the health and development sector. She is currently the deputy director at the Gates Foundation leading the policy advocacy communications work related to family planning, maternal, newborn and child health, women’s health innovations, and primary health care. Prior to the foundation, Sanjana led health, HIV, and nutrition portfolios for UNICEF in several countries and has worked in academia designing and teaching public health programs and led the implementation of innovative, development programs in the field.

Dr. Sara Saeed Khurram

Dr. Sara Saeed Khurram is the co-founder and chief executive officer at Sehat Kahani. Sehat Kahani is a telemedicine startup based in Pakistan that works on improving basic health care in communities. Saeed recently won the Aptech Young Entrepreneurs award for Sehat Kahani and has won notable awards such as CRDF Global, Ashoka Changemakers, ISIF Asia, the Unilever Sustainable Living Young Entrepreneurs Awards, and the UNICEF Global Goals Campaigner Award 2016 for her role with doctHERs. She has been part of a well-known accelerator in Pakistan; Invest2Innovate.
Dr. Seth Berkley

Dr. Seth Berkley

A medical doctor and infectious disease epidemiologist, Dr. Seth Berkley joined Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, as its CEO in 2011. In 2020, he co-created COVAX, the only global initiative working with governments and manufacturers to ensure COVID-19 vaccines are available to high- and lower-income countries. Prior to Gavi, Berkley served as president and CEO of the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative.

Dr. Shibu Vijayan

Dr. Shibu Vijayan is the chief medical officer for global health at Qure.ai, a leading company that utilizes artificial intelligence to enhance health care access and quality. With over 25 years of experience in public health, he has a strong foundation in medicine, holding a bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery and a master's in public health specializing in epidemiology. His expertise in both clinical and public health settings drives impactful advancements in global health through innovative AI solutions.

Dr. Shreenik Kundu is a Ph.D. student at McGill University and a Jean Martin Laberge Global Pediatric Surgery fellow with extensive clinical experience. Kundu completed the Paul Farmer Global Surgery Fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s program in global surgery and social change. Dr. Ayla Gerk is a medical doctor with extensive clinical experience in Argentina, currently pursuing a Ph.D. at McGill University as a Jean Martin Laberge Global Pediatric Surgery fellow. She conducts research at the Commisur Lab, Harvey E. Beardmore Division of Pediatric Surgery, Montreal Children’s Hospital, and recently completed the Paul Farmer Global Surgery Fellowship at Harvard program in global surgery and social change. Dr. Dan Poenaru is the director of the Commisur Lab and professor of pediatric surgery at McGill University and a senior scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre. Recently appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada, Poenaru is renowned for his contributions to global surgery, including establishing a pediatric surgical unit and novel training program in a remote area of Kenya. Dr. John Meara is the founder and chief strategist of the Paul Farmer Global Surgery Fellowship at the Harvard program in global surgery and social change. He is the plastic surgeon-in-chief of the Department of Plastic and Oral Surgery at Boston Children's Hospital. Meara was co-chair of the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery.

Dr. Shubha Nagesh is a medical doctor and global health physician with vast experience of health equity, disability rights, and gender equity in health. She is a senior Atlantic fellow for global health equity and the WomenLift Health India alumna lead. She serves as advocacy adviser for Global Health at Women in Global Health.
Dr. Silvia Bino

Dr. Silvia Bino

Dr. Silvia Bino is head of the Control of Infectious Diseases Department at the Institute of Public Health in Tirana, Albania. An associate professor of infectious diseases at the Faculty of Medicine, Tirana University, she also serves as the regional coordinator of Southeast European Health Network for Surveillance and Control of Infectious Diseases. With more than 20 years of experience in outbreak response, surveillance, immunization management, and control of different infectious diseases in low-resource countries, she also serves as a consultant or member for a number of expert working groups on vaccination and emerging infectious diseases.
