Dr. Volodymyr Kurpita

Dr. Volodymyr Kurpita is the chief of party of the USAID Community Action for HIV Control project led by Pact Ukraine. He is a medical professional with over 20 years of experience. His technical expertise includes health systems and community strengthening, capacity development of local organizations with a focus on HIV, and program development and innovation. He has a proven track record of successful project implementation in government and civil society sectors and provides guidance to WHO, UNICEF, UNAIDS, UNDP, and the Global Fund. He was also the Ukrainian Centre for Public Health director general.

Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu

Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu

Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu is a consultant pediatrician and an advocate for women's health, with a particular focus on cancer. She obtained a medical degree from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria, and then proceeded to specialize in pediatrics and neonatology in the United Kingdom. She returned to work as a clinician in Nigeria and was confronted with challenges that clinicians and patients faced in accessing quality medical diagnostic services in northern Nigeria. In response, she founded Medicaid Radio-Diagnostics & Clinics in 2009, the first comprehensive medical diagnostics center in Abuja.

Dr. Zhang Qi is the head of the traditional, complementary, and integrative medicines unit, at the World Health Organization’s Integrated Health Service Department. He has studied both conventional medicine and traditional medicine. He served as the director-general of the International Cooperation Department of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and vice-president of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in the People’s Republic of China.

As program specialist in UNDP’s Bureau Policy and Programme Support, Dudley Tarlton focuses on health partnerships, and covers issues including noncommunicable diseases, health governance, the economic determinants of health, and the sustainable development agenda. He works closely with partners such as WHO, the FCTC Secretariat, and the Global Fund.

He serves on the House Agriculture Committee, specifically on the Subcommittee on Nutrition and the Subcommittee on Livestock and Foreign Agriculture. He also serves on the House Small Business Committee, and is the Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access as well as serves on the Subcommittee on Contracting and the Workforce. He is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. He represents Northwest, West, North, parts of South and Center City Philadelphia, and the western suburbs of Narberth and Lower Merion Township.
