Alice Ruhweza

Alice Ruhweza is the Africa region director for the World Wide Fund for Nature, where she leads the design of a new conservation framework to bring together work at national, transboundary, and global levels, as well as development of a new program quality assurance system. She has helped African governments and businesses adopt sustainable pathways for production sectors, and incentivized private sector investment in sustainable development in over 40 African countries.

Alice P. Albright

Alice P. Albright is the CEO of the Global Partnership for Education, an organization made up of 60 developing country governments, as well as donor governments, civil society organizations, teacher organizations, private sector organizations and foundations, whose joint mission is to galvanize and coordinate a global effort to provide a good quality education to children, prioritizing the poorest and most vulnerable. Before joining the Global Partnership, Albright served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Export-Import Bank of the United States and as the chief financial and investment officer for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.

Alimatu Dimonekene

Alimatu Dimonekene is a human rights and gender advocate with over 30 years of experience addressing gender-based violence, climate resilience, and women’s empowerment in Sierra Leone. She works with grassroots communities and international partners to highlight how climate change disproportionately affects women and to advance gender-responsive policies in disaster response. She was awarded an MBE, or member of the Order of the British Empire, in 2023.

Alisa DiCaprio

Alisa DiCaprio is a trade economist in Asian Development Bank’s Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department. She is currently on secondment to ADB Institute in Tokyo. Her research explores ways to make trade a more effective development tool. In particular, she highlights nontraditional trade topics including trade finance gaps, e-commerce, and fragile and landlocked states.

With a background in international relations and development, studying at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the London School of Economics, she specializes in the interinstitutional aspects of EU external relations and in EU development cooperation.
