Alison Baker

Alison Baker is currently the fund manager of the Water for Women Fund — the Australian Government’s flagship water, sanitation, and hygiene initiative under the Australian Aid program. Gender and social inclusion are central to the delivery of inclusive WASH projects and research undertaken through the fund, with an increasing focus on building climate resilient communities and systems. Alison has worked in the international development sector with GHD since 1997, where she has held both technical and management roles in the areas of water and sanitation, environment, water resource management, and climate change.

Alison Campbell is senior director for global initiatives at Internews, overseeing health and humanitarian programs. Her specialty is designing and troubleshooting media projects in conflict, post-conflict, peace building and other transitional environments in Africa and Southeast Asia.

Alison Evans

Alison Evans is director-general of evaluation at the World Bank Group since January 2019. Before her current role, Evans was the chief commissioner of the U.K.’s Independent Commission for Aid Impact, where she provided strong leadership and vision to the transformation of that organization's scrutiny mandate. Evans brings more than 25 years of international development experience, spanning policy, research, and evaluation across diverse geopolitical and multicultural environments.

Alison Gilbert

Alison Gilbert worked at the Skoll Foundation from 2015-2018, leveraging creative content and influencer engagement to help amplify the impact of social entrepreneurs around the world. Prior to Skoll Alison worked in South Africa with Grassroot Soccer, an organization that uses the power of soccer to engage youth in HIV prevention and life skills education. She is currently earning an MBA at Berkeley Haas School of Business and plans to pursue a career in responsible business.

Alison Kentish a freelance journalist from the island of Dominica. She holds a master’s in health and science journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and covers issues at the intersection of health, science and the environment.

Alison Wittcoff

Alison Wittcoff is a health technical advisor who has worked with IRC for the past five years. She recently served as health coordinator in Kalemie, DRC and prior to DRC, Alison worked as health coordinator in Rwanda. In both countries she was managing large iCCM projects. Before coming to IRC, she worked as a quality improvement specialist at University Research Co. providing support in Niger, Tanzania and Uganda. Alison has a master’s of international affairs from George Washington University and is fluent in French.

Alison Wright is climate change policy officer for Plan International. She has worked for over five years on climate change and disaster risk reduction within different parts of the NGO sector and as an independent consultant. She also has almost 10 years of experience as an educator. Her current focus is on child-centered climate change adaptation at Plan International.

Aliyah Esmail is a freelance journalist and communications professional with a fascination for the economic and political realities facing nongovernmental organizations. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Carlton University in journalism and film studies and is now working on a postgraduate certificate from the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute in Global Health. She has worked for the government of Canada as well as a number of international organizations.
