George Richards

George Richards

George Richards is the director of Community Jameel. Prior to becoming director in 2020, George led strategy for Community Jameel’s international programs from 2015, including the establishment of the MIT Jameel World Education Lab, and the MIT Jameel Clinic, the European Social Inclusion Initiative at J-PAL Europe, and the Transforming Refugee Education towards excellence program in Jordan with Save the Children and MIT J-WEL. He holds a first in Arabic and Persian from the University of Edinburgh.

George Vradenburg is the founding chair of the board of the Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative, a global public-private-patient foundation focused on linking and scaling Alzheimer’s disease and brain health research and delivery systems around the world. DAC was launched in Davos, Switzerland, in 2021 by the Global CEO Initiative on Alzheimer’s Disease, or CEOi, and the World Economic Forum.

George Kronnisanyon Werner serves as Liberia’s minister of education. Drawing from his experience as an educator — having taught at the high school level in five countries including the United States — Werner has dedicated his tenure as minister of education to addressing the twin challenges of expanding access to education and improving the quality of teaching.
Georgina Brereton

Georgina Brereton

Georgina Brereton is a communications officer for the Global Humanitarian Assistance, where she coordinates report production, outreach activities and website development. Prior to joining GHA, Brereton did communications and project management activities for The Buttle Trust, and assisted Oxfam’s media unit. Brereton has also worked on short-term development projects in Benin, India and, most recently, Uganda, where she implemented an educational program for an abandoned babies project in Kampala.
Gerald Chirinda

Gerald Chirinda

Gerald Chirinda is the founder of Future Africa Forum; in this role, he engages leaders and governments to advance Africa's prosperity. He has also founded and continues to serve several other organizations including Educate, an education access and improvement company, Youth Combating NTDs, a global community of young people who are fighting to end Neglected Tropical Diseases. He is a recipient of several leadership fellowships and serves on various advisory boards.
Geraldine Byrne Nason

Geraldine Byrne Nason

Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason is the permanent representative of Ireland to the United Nations in New York. She previously served as ambassador to France and second secretary-general in the Department of the Taoiseach. Byrne Nason led Ireland’s successful campaign for a seat on the United Nations Security Council, and now leads the Security Council team on the mission for the 2021-2022 term. She was also chair of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women for 2018 and 2019.

Gerardo Berthin is a political scientist and a senior associate with Tetra Tech’s democracy and governance sector, international development services. Based in Burlington, Vermont, Gerardo manages projects and provides technical advice on issues related to local governance and decentralization, transparency and accountability, and conflict prevention. Prior to joining Tetra Tech, Gerardo was a governance policy adviser for the Bureau for Development Policy at the United Nations Development Programme. Gerardo has worked extensively across 40 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe and Africa.
