Girish Menon is director of international operations for WaterAid UK, with responsibility over teams in Asia, West Africa, East Africa and Southern Africa. Previously, he worked for WaterAid in India as well as for Plan International and ActionAid. Menon represents WaterAid on the Board of Water and Sanitation for Urban Poor.

Giselle Lopez

Giselle is a specialist at PeaceTech Lab. Giselle’s work focuses on providing support for the Lab's Open Situation Room Exchange, a program designed to make data more accessible to the peacebuilding community. At PeaceTech Lab, she has also organized and served as a trainer for exchanges in Turkey, India, and Myanmar to build capacity for peacebuilding organizations to incorporate low­cost, easy­to­use technology solutions to support their efforts.

Gita Pillai provides overall leadership and program and financial oversight to the Gates Foundation-funded Urban Health Initiative in India. With 20 years of experience in program management, systems strengthening and large-scale integrated health programs, Pillai has worked in Asia, Africa and Latin America for organizations like John Snow, CARE, Save the Children, ADB, DfID, WHO and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Githinji Gitahi

Githinji Gitahi

Dr. Githinji Gitahi is group chief executive officer of Amref Health Africa, the largest Africa-led international organization, reaching more than 11 million people each year through 150 health-focused projects across 35 countries. Previously, Dr. Githinji was vice president and Africa regional director for Smile Train International; managing director for Monitor Publications in Uganda; and general manager for marketing and circulation in East Africa for the Nation Media Group. Dr. Githinji also sits on the boards of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention and The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations.

Glenda Cooper

Glenda Cooper is based in London, where she covers U.K. aid reform and the vibrant NGO sector for Devex. Glenda has worked for the Washington Post and several other publications, as well as for Save the Children as the U.K. team's media manager. She has spent a year's fellowship at Oxford University researching the relationship between aid agencies and the media, and has since been pursuing a doctorate examining how new media is changing the reporting of disasters.
