Hannah Wallace Bowman

Hannah Wallace Bowman is head of communications and strategic partnerships at Lighthouse Relief. She began her professional career as a London publicist, before swapping out Hoxton for humanitarianism, and life as a relative nomad. Since then, her study and work at the intersection of journalism, development and rights advocacy has taken her from Latin America, to Africa, to the Middle-East — and back again. She is currently based on the Greek island of Lesvos, where she is committed to reframing the debate around refugees and displaced people.

She received her doctorate in Global Environmental Studies from Kyoto University, Japan, where she resided for a period of four years.

Hans R. Herren is the president of Biovision Foundation’s board of trustees. He lived and conducted research in Africa for 26 years, leading scientific research in biological pest control. He has been awarded various prizes such as the World Food Prize and the Right Livelihood Award together with the Biovision Foundation.

Presently he is the CEO of Concept Foundation in Geneva and Bangkok, with the mission to ensure that low-income women and men worldwide have equitable access to sexual and reproductive health products of assured quality at the lowest possible cost.

Abdulmonem has more than 20 years of experience working in the areas of non-formal education and youth development.
