Hervil Cherubin is senior director for the Haiti resilience program at Heifer International. He was educated in urban economics and public policy at the University of Louisville and health policy and management at Columbia University. Through Heifer International, he helps rebuild rural communities and improve economic opportunities for farming families in Haiti.

H.E. Virachai Plaisai

Virachai Plaisai is the ambassador and permanent representative of Thailand to the United Nations, having been appointed to his post in 2015. From 2009 to 2015, he served as ambassador of Thailand to the Netherlands, having previously held a variety of international economic, legal, and diplomatic roles for the Thai government. A career diplomat, Mr. Plasai began his diplomatic service in 1987 in his country’s department of political affairs, serving in posts in the department of treaties and legal affairs, eventually becoming director-general of the department of international economic affairs in 2007.

Hilal Elver

Hilal Elver

Since 2014, Hilal Elver has served as the special rapporteur on the right to food, responsible for carrying out the right to food mandate as prescribed by the United Nations Human Rights Council. Hilal is an international law professor and a Global Distinguished Fellow at the UCLA Law School Resnick Food Law and Policy Center, She is also as a research professor at the UC Santa Barbara, where she has been distinguished visiting professor since 2002.
Hilary Dhliwayo Motsiri

Hilary Dhliwayo Motsiri

Hilary Dhliwayo Motsiri recently joined the IFRC Jordan country office team, as the livelihoods and cash programming delegate in the MENA region. She is a development practitioner with 26 years’ experience in development work, disaster risk reduction, climate change management, disaster management and research. She has worked with a number of NGOs, the U.N., Food and Agriculture Organization in South Africa and Lectured at the Myhrr College in the U.K. before joining the IFRC in 2007. She has global humanitarian and developmental experience.
Hilda Alberda

Hilda Alberda

Hilda Alberda is the director of monitoring, evaluation and learning at Simavi. In this role, she specializes in theory of change development, evidence-informed, and impact-oriented working. Hilda has previously worked as SRHR program manager. She developed Simavi’s menstrual health expertise and provides training and support to other iNGOs on the topic. She has led the development and implementation of the Ritu program and worked closely with Maastricht University on the impact evaluation of the program.

Hilde F. Johnson

Hilde F. Johnson is an assistant secretary general of the United Nations. She served as Norway's minister of international development 1997-2000 and 2001-2005. Johnson is the author of “Waging Peace in Sudan: The Inside Story of the Negotiations that Ended Africa’s Longest Civil War,” published Jan. 1, 2011 by Sussex Academic Press.
