Johan Swinnen

Johan Swinnen is the director general of the International Food Policy Research Institute and managing director of CGIAR’s Systems Transformation Action Area. Swinnen has published extensively on agricultural and food policies, international development, political economy, institutional reforms, trade, and global value chains. His recent book, “The Political Economy of Agricultural and Food Policies,” received the 2019 Book Award from the European Association of Agricultural Economists.

Johanna Mendelson Forman

Johanna is a scholar-in-residence at American University’s School of International Service and a senior advisor with the Stimson Center’s Managing Across Boundaries Initiative. She helped to found USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives and served in a variety of high-level functions within the U.S. government, World Bank and U.N. Foundation, among others. Most recently, she co-directed the Center for Strategic and International Studies' post-conflict reconstruction project.

Johanna Ralston is the CEO of the World Obesity Federation and Executive in Residence at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy. Prior to this, Johanna was CEO of the World Heart Federation and vice chair of the NCD Alliance.

Johanna Mair

Johanna Mair is professor for organization, strategy, and leadership at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. Her research focuses on how novel organizational and institutional arrangements can generate economic and social development. Mair also is a distinguished fellow at the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society where she serves as a co-director of the Global Innovation for Impact Lab and as the academic editor of the Stanford Social Innovation Review.
