John Chukwuemeka Uruakpa is the director and head of the nutrition special program at Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health. A seasoned public servant whose professional experience spans over 28 years in nutrition programming and policy, he is a member of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria, or NSN, the National Food Fortification Alliance, and the country working group of the West Africa Bouillon Initiative, and president of the Nigeria country working group on rice fortification. He holds a master’s in food science and technology from the University of Ibadan.

John O. Wilson

John O. Wilson, Ph.D., is an experienced environmental professional, coalition builder, and project manager. Wilson is currently a senior consultant for ME&A on the environment and climate change. Previously, he served as senior environmental officer at the U.S. Agency for International Development. Wilson spent over 30 years tackling a wide range of environmental, resource conservation, climate change, and water challenges confronting Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. He provided technical leadership and support to USAID missions and led implementation of cutting-edge and high-visibility water, science, and technology programs through innovative partnerships with MIT, NASA, IWWI, and other international donors and organizations.

He has served in various locations, including conflict zones such as Afghanistan and Iraq, and countries facing crises like Haiti after the earthquake, and South Africa during health emergencies.
