Kalipso Chalkidou

Kalipso Chalkidou is the director of the department of health financing and economics at the World Health Organization. Before that, she founded and led the department of health finance at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. She is a visiting professor of global health at Imperial College London’s School of Public Health. Before moving to Geneva, she was director of global health policy and a senior fellow at the Center for Global Development.

Previously, Kalpana worked in many multicultural and science-driven contexts at Nestle, PATH, and DSM in product, technology, and business model innovation and entrepreneurship in agriculture, food, nutrition, global health, water, and renewable energy sectors.

Kamila Wujec

Her work is focused on whole systems consulting and leadership development as well as organizational capacity building. As regional lead, she delivers the center’s mandate of supporting capacity building and capacity strengthening of local actors related to the Ukraine response involving digital content delivery, face-to-face training, remote training delivery, content production, and coaching and mentoring. She worked across government and international development in Poland as a certified coach, trainer, and group dynamics consultant. Her scientific background is in cultural studies. She grew up and lived in Germany and Poland.

Kamran Rafiq

Kamran is the communications director at the International Society for Neglected Tropical Diseases. After graduating from The School of Pharmacy, University of London in pharmacology and toxicology Kamran went on to complete his masters in neuroscience at the Institute of Psychiatry and The Maudsley, Kings College London. He has worked as a research scientist at Schering-Plough Research Center at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, Italy working on neuropeptides and novel mechanisms of pain transmission and Parkinson’s disease modelling. Upon returning to the U.K. he worked for Reuters Business Insights setting up their drug discovery intelligence unit and then as sales director for Datamonitor being an integral part of the acquisition and subsequent integration of the company Life Science Analytics and then as managing director at Global Data overseeing both pharma/biotech and medical device diagnostics market teams.

Kandeh K. Yumkella is the director-general of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and co-chair of the secretary-general's High Level Group on Sustainable Energy for All. He is also a member of the Rio+20 Principals Group as well as the United Nations Development Group, and chairs U.N.-Energy as well as the U.N. secretary-general's Advisory Group on Energy and Climate Change.

Kanika Bahl is CEO and president of Evidence Action, an NGO that scales low-cost health interventions to improve the well-being of hundreds of millions of people in Africa and Asia. She is also on the board of TechnoServe and a trustee of Anthropic’s Long-Term Benefit Trust. Previously she served as managing director at Results for Development, or R4D, where she established and led the market dynamics practice. Prior to R4D, Kanika served as an executive vice president at the Clinton Health Access Initiative.
