Karen Eryou is head of industry engagement for the Access to Medicine Foundation. She leads the engagement strategy, liaising with health care companies, industry associations, and other organizations in order to advance the foundation’s collaboration opportunities and change-making.

Karen King is head of growth & development at CMC Affinity, a leading global medical communications agency and a division of McCann Health Medical Communications. Karen holds a Ph.D. in immuno-oncology from the Paterson Institute of Cancer Research, University of Manchester, U.K. She started out in academic research at the University of Oxford, before transitioning to CMC where she has worked for 20 years leading medical communications across a wide variety of therapy areas and products.

Karen Mathiasen is an independent consultant specializing in development finance and an adjunct professor of economic development in the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies’ global policy program. She is a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Treasury Department, where she headed up several offices, including the Office of Multilateral Development. Before leaving federal service, Karen served as acting executive director of the World Bank.

Karen Newman serves as the senior communications consultant for the Business Call to Action. She comes from the U.S. State Department, where she was a fellow working within the Foreign Press Center and with the public affairs and ECOSOC section. Prior to this, Karen spent more than 10 years within the U.N. system, including various roles at UNDP, the ILO and the Foundation for the Global Compact.

Karen Newman serves as a consultant for the United Nations, working on the Sustainable Development Goals as part of UNDP, UNDOCO, and UNCDF, focusing on communication and outreach with new partners and unique industry sectors. She has also worked at ECOSOC exclusively on the Partnership Forum and related programs linked to the Post 2015 Agenda. Prior to this she was the senior communications consultant for UNDP's Business Call to Action.

Karen Orenstein is the deputy director of the economic policy program at Friends of the Earth, where she oversees work on international public finance. Karen specializes in climate finance — to ensure the provision and effective use of funds from countries in the Global North for those in the Global South to take climate action rooted in science, justice and fairness.
