Lynnette, a Canadian national, has over 25 years of experience in the field of nutrition where she has worked in a variety of technical advisory and academic positions. Prior to joining FAO, she had been serving as director of knowledge leadership at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) in Geneva, Switzerland.

Lyric Thompson is the senior policy manager for the International Center for Research on Women. In this capacity she leads the institution’s formulation of evidence-based policy recommendations and manages the institution’s advocacy efforts with the US Government and Internationally. She writes on global women’s issues for Human Rights Now & Thomson-Reuters’ TrustLaw Women.
